The Hospitality Committee is a group of people who work behind the scenes at the many social events that the parish sponsors. Generally the events are scheduled and the menu set by the parish staff and then the Hospitality Committee goes into action. The responsibilities are to help with setting up function areas as needed. During the actual events, those who have chosen to help out will set up and monitor the buffet tables to be certain that there are no empty platters/ replenish paper goods as needed / keep a steady stream of beverages available and generally respond to attendees questions "do you have any more cream?" etc. during the event. There is some light clean up involved. There is no cooking (heating up sometimes). It is truly unfair to call this a working group as we have so much fun when we are active in our ministry. The commitment is "as available"—if you can help at one event and not the next, that is fine.
